Attorney Lynne Torgerson wins Order for Protection in Ramsey County
Attorney Lynne Torgerson won an Order for Protection case out of the County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota. Ms. Torgerson’s client, Petitioner, was a young, smart, professional woman. She is gainfully employed and owns her own home. She has no prior OFP involvement nor criminal record. Her boyfriend had assaulted physically, by punching her in the face, would repeatedly get intoxicated and become insulting and belligerent to Petitioner and her family and friends, and when Petitioner broke up with, refused to move out. Ms. Torgerson also obtained an order from the Court requiring Respondent boyfriend to remove his property from Petitioner’s home. Respondent boyfriend also has a criminal history, being convicted of a felony drug offense. Being prepared for trial, and having overwhelming evidence, Respondent boyfriend capitulated on the trial date, and capitulated and agreed to the issuance of an Order for Protection against him, for 2 years, without having to go to trial. Well done Ms. Torgerson.
