Minnesota Criminal Defense Attorney Lynne Torgerson obtained a gross misdemeanor in a felony charge of felon in possession of a firearm out of the County of Olmsted, State of Minnesota. Defendant was a 40 year old white male. He was married, with children. He was gainfully employed. He was charged with ineligible person in possession of a firearm after attempting to purchase a firearm at a local Scheel’s store. Ultimately, the case was resolved with the defendant pleading guilty to the charge; however, the judge sentenced it as a gross misdemeanor, no jail time, and two (2) years probation, out of Olmsted County, Minnesota.
