Criminal Record Paper, Handcuffs & Book

Expungement Lawyer Lynne Torgerson wins expungement of domestic assault out of Blue Earth County, Minnesota.  The case for expungement is now 21 years old.  Petitioner is now 52 years old.  He has been married 23 years to his wife, which was the complainant in the instant case.  His wife supported the expungement and did not want the case prosecuted.  Petitioner is a home owner.  He obtained his GED in 1997.  Petitioner attended some community college.  Petitioner does not use illegal drugs.  Petitioner has never had any mental health hospitalization nor commitment.  Petitioner successfully completed an anger management course in connection with the case.  Petitioner sought expungement for both employment and gun rights purposes.  Petitioner wanted to have his Second Amendment rights restored.  As a child, he enjoyed plinking, and, took Gun Safety.  He now also want to have protection when camping, be able to go target shooting, and his wife would like to be able to have a firearm in their home for self defense, in the event a need should ever arise.  Concluding that Petitioner had proven his case by clear and convincing evidence, the Court, The Honorable Gregory Anderson presiding, granted the extraordinary remedy of expungement of these records.  Well done Ms. Torgerson.
