Gun Rights Restoration Win 112923

Second Amendment Lawyer Lynne Torgerson wins gun rights restoration in Hennepin County

Minnesota Gun Rights Restoration Attorney Lynne Torgerson won restoration of gun rights in the County of Hennepin, State of Minnesota.  Petitioner lost his gun rights due to a conviction of felony 1st degree controlled substance crime from 2002.  In 2018, Petitioner’s prior application for restoration of gun rights was denied.  Now, 21 years later, the Court found sufficient evidence to support the conclusion that Petitioner has worked to turn his life around.  Petitioner has been married for 20 years, has 3 children, owns his own home, and has had his own business, a childcare learning center, for 4 years.  While in his teenage years Petitioner was in a gang, he left that long ago, and has spent money to have his tatoos removed.  Hunting is part of Petitioner’s culture.  Petitioner’s wife would like to have a firearm in their home for self defense.  The Court concluded that Petitioner is no longer a threat to public safety.  Finding good cause for restoration of rights to possess firearms, the Hennepin County District Court, the Honorable Sydnee Woods, granted Petitioner’s request to restore his Second Amendment rights. Well done Ms. Torgerson.
